Important transport hub for the energy sector: Aberdeen International Airport
Aberdeen International Airport is an important transport hub for the UK economy as a whole and in particular for the energy sector. It is located in an attractive catchment area in the seaport city in northeast Scotland and registers stable volumes of traffic. The airport has been part of the AviAlliance network since January 2025. In addition to its main passenger terminal, Aberdeen International Airport also has four helicopter terminals and is one of the busiest helicopter hubs in the world.
In June 2025, the airport was named "Airport of the Year" at the Scottish Transport Awards, receiving special recognition for its outstanding passenger experience as well as its commitment to sustainability and community.
